Take this opportunity to begin or continue a weight-training program using an assortment of free weights and weight benches. You may work independently, but will be given beginning instruction, supervision, and general training guidelines. No class: 11/8 and School Holidays

 

Alcohol Ink Art

Learn to use permanent alcohol ink and Yupo paper to create beautifully colorful works of art. Students will have the option to create pendants from the art they make, or they may opt to keep the art whole and frame it at home. Wear old clothes. Materials fee: $15 payable to instructor day of class.

Discover the keys to deciphering algebra. Algebra I covers formulas, equations, polynomials, and graphing. Focus on real-world applications while preparing for a college-level algebra class. The Accuplacer test will be given at the beginning and end of the semester.

Fee: $44 (Class free for students registered in our College Transitions Program) Book Fee: $20

Algebra I - Blended Learning

Do you need to take an Algebra I class to get into college but can’t make it here for our evening class? This class is just the thing for you! You will be required to meet face-to-face with the instructor once every few weeks. The other weeks you will work on your own, using an easy to use online platform, with assignments given to you by the instructor. So, if you like math and can work on your own for a few weeks at a time, sign up for this Algebra I class. Prerequisite: Arithmetic Accuplacer test score of 60 or better. Algebra Accuplacer test score of 50 or better. Please sign up with our office to fill out paperwork. The Accuplacer test will be given at the beginning and end of the class. If you already have Accuplacer test scores, please bring them with you when you sign up.

All Cracked Up with Mosaic Art!

Unleash your creativity and learn the basics of mosaic art and grow your skills to the next level in this six-week class! You’ll begin with basic cutting skills for stained glass, tile, and crockery, and create a mosaic birdbath on a terra cotta plant saucer. With those skills, you’ll start a second project involving glass-on-glass using clear colored glass and achieving a stained-glass effect. Get a jump-start or move to a whole new level in this creative and eco-friendly process that involves beauty and recycling all in one! Tools will be provided, but you may want to get your own after the first class. Project materials will be provided, and you are invited to bring your own to add to the mix. Build confidence in the design and creation of one of a kind mosaic pieces for your home or to give as gifts! Materials fee: $18 payable to instructor first day of class. 6 weeks

 

Alzheimer's: The 10 Signs of Early Detection - Session 1

American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and AED

Save the life of an adult, child or infant by renewing or earning your Heartsaver Basic Life Support CPR course completion card. We'll cover the latest AHA guidelines and skills for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, relief from choking, and the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator).

This does not qualify for a healthcare provider course.

Note: A $17 fee for completion card payable to instructor the night of class.
