Adult Co-Ed Weight Training

Take this opportunity to begin or continue a weight-training program using an assortment of free weights and weight benches. You may work independently, but will be given beginning instruction, supervision, and general training guidelines. No class: 11/8 and School Holidays
Alcohol Ink Art
with Tara Finlay
Learn to use permanent alcohol ink and Yupo paper to create beautifully colorful works of art. Students will have the option to create pendants from the art they make, or they may opt to keep the art whole and frame it at home. Wear old clothes. Materials fee: $15 payable to instructor day of class.

Join us in a friendly, vigorous and competitive weekly session of community basketball. Stay in shape through the winter months. Playing shoes must not be worn to and from sessions. Before you play, please register with the adult education office at 929-9185 or at sad6.maineadulted.org.

Join adult education’s long-running book club as we discuss a variety of books. Our first meeting is Monday, September 17. Read "New York" by Edward Rutherford and bring three books (or printed reviews) to suggest for discussion in the coming weeks. Class meets every other Monday. We’ll introduce you to the two most common types of resumes, how to use action words to describe your accomplishments and create the right resume for the job.

Essay Orientation Fall Session 2

This is a short orientation on how to write an essay for the HiSET exam. In order to enter this program, some testing and completion of paperwork are required.

Evening Indoors Walking Program

Are you looking for a dry, safe, well-lit place to walk? This required orientation will kick off the program, providing information on techniques, proper stretching, goal setting, and the "rules of the road/hallways". You will receive health tips and resources along the way. Indoor shoes required.
