"Cooking Matters" for Adults

with Matters Cooking

Calendar Oct 12, 2017 at 6 pm, runs for 6 weeks

Learn about healthy meal prep and sensible shopping on a limited budget. Prepare the meal along with the chef, and then receive a free bag of groceries for you to make one of the recipes at home each week. Graduation certificate, recipe book and other freebies provided upon completion of the program. 6 Weeks Limit: One person per household. Must register with the adult education office at 929-2496.

 

4 Player Team Co-ed League Volleyball

Calendar Sep 18, 2017 at 7 pm, runs for 12 weeks

In the style of Beach Volleyball, this league is a 4 vs. 4 coed league without the sand. The net is at men's height. There is a minimum of two female players per team. Participants need to have experience playing volleyball and the team rating should not average higher than a C on a men's net. Please register as a team, listing the names of players and team name. A Parent's Guide to the First Five Years: Session 1

Parenting can be easy and fun but it doesn’t come with a handbook. You sometimes learn as you go. If you have a newborn to a five year old, are a caregiver or foster parent of a young child, this class is specifically designed for you. Enhance your parenting skills and techniques, emphasizing cooperation, self-esteem, and responsibility, through a caring and nurturing approach to working with young children. Leave the workshop empowered, validated and with a toolbox full of new skills. 4 weeks    No discounts

Adult Coed Weight Training

Take this opportunity to begin or continue a weight-training program using an assortment of free weights and weight benches. You may work independently, but will be given beginning instruction, supervision and general training guidelines. No class: 10/5 and School Holidays

Discover the keys to deciphering algebra. Algebra I covers formulas, equations, polynomials, and graphing. Focus on real world applications while preparing for a college level algebra class. American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and AED

Calendar Oct 4, 2017 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Save the life of an adult, child or infant by renewing or earning your Heartsaver Basic Life Support CPR course completion card. We'll cover the latest AHA guidelines and skills for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, relief from choking, and the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator). This does not qualify for a healthcare provider course. Note: A $3 fee for completion card payable to instructor the night of class.
