American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and AED

Save the life of an adult, child or infant by renewing or earning your Heartsaver Basic Life Support CPR course completion card. We'll cover the latest AHA guidelines and skills for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, relief from choking, and the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator). This does not qualify for a healthcare provider course. Note: A $17 fee for completion card payable to instructor the night of class.

Bring out your inner Picasso and learn to draw! During the first class, you’ll try pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, crayon, colored pencil, and pastel and decide which medium works best for you. Then, you’ll get a short supply list to get only the items you need for the rest of the class. We’ll cover perspective, shading, gesture, figure drawing & critique, using various techniques and methods. This is a good class for beginners or if you have a specific drawing problem or goal you would like to accomplish. Bring a small portable piece of furniture, (for the sake of time no more than 4 spindles on any piece please) or wooden craft (cleaned thoroughly in a degreasing soap like DAWN), to paint AND a one cup sample mixed in the color you love of flat low-primer paint. We love the Home Depot BEHR Premium Plus flat sheen 8 ounce samples. They will mix-in your color choice.
Wear paint clothes or an apron and bring a small drop cloth. All chalking materials, finishes, paint brushes and tools will be provided. Materials Fee: $25 payable to instructor night of class.

Join our MSAD#6 Chinese Language instructors for this interactive cooking class as you learn how to make traditional Chinese dishes using fresh ingredients. Learn when to use different cooking techniques and what spices and sauces to add to make these delectable dishes. We’ll also go over a bit of the history behind the types of dishes served in various parts of China. Fee: $5 payable to instructor the night of class for purchased food items.
