Create wildlife habitats, grow food for your family, and protect your local waterways while improving the appearance and functionality of your yard. Find ways to reduce your lawn and associated maintenance by swapping it for pollinator gardens, edible landscapes, rain gardens, vegetative buffers, groundcovers, wildflower meadows, and other natural landscapes you can pick and choose from to make your yard work for you. Optional: Bring a layout of your yard (copy of tax map, drawings, satellite image, pictures) to start designing your landscaping changes at the end of the workshop with free technical assistance from the instructor. No discounts.
About Ali: Ali Clift is the Education & Outreach Coordinator for the Cumberland County Soil & Water Conservation District. She teaches conservation practices to improve soil health, protect water quality, increase food production, and create wildlife habitat to students, businesses, municipalities, and residents throughout the county.
